On September 21st, we displayed at North Surrey Secondary School, where we acquired many new members. Thank you guys !

On September 9th, we displayed our nonprofit in the community at Holland Park

On this date, Care Kits were put together by some of our members. They created Art Kits for children at Palliative Care and Laurel Place.

Youth for CARE members put together ‘CARE Kits’. Kits filled with arts and craft supplies went to children in Palliative Care and Laurel Place.

 

Youth for CARE was excited to volunteer at Surrey Hospital and Outpatient Centre’s first Stand Up Paddleboard Tournament! It was a huge success and raised over $128, 000 to support kid’s mental health!

Youth for CARE members returned to volunteer at the 9th annual Ashok Memorial Tournament and Fair running games and activities for many of the kids! The tournament supported cancer equipment at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Youth for CARE executive members represented Youth for CARE at PSST’s Surrey Steps Up Showcase, a showcase where youth all over Surrey showcase their initiatives.

Youth for CARE members went on a tour of Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre’s Cardiac Clinic! Heidi, a registered nurse in the clinic, gave a tour of the clinic and an engaging talk.

Youth for CARE members put together ‘CARE Kits’. Kits filled with hygiene supplies went to the Youth Clinic and Forensic Nursing, and kits with arts and craft supplies went to children in Palliative Care and Laurel Place.

 

 

Our first DOC Talk featured Dr. Mandeep Mann, a neurologist at the Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Centre.

She spoke about her journey from Queen Elizabeth Secondary, a local high school, to her time at the University of British Columbia, and until her present. Dr. Mann provided an insightful perspective into her challenges through her journey, as well as advice to prospective applicants.
